I’m running a little behind on the progress of this ring so I did a catch up session on Monday to carve away the excess wax. We mainly did this to reduce the weight of the ring and to make it more comfortable to wear.
On Tuesday’s class I had to reattached the dome top back onto the ring. It was really time-consuming as the top kept coming apart after filing. The purple wax require a much higher temperature to fuse the parts and it was only on the third attempt that I was able to properly combine the pieces back together.
